The Business Administration Degree

If you've decided on a career in business administration then you probably already know that the sky is the limit with regard to how far you would like to take your education. Certificate- Often less than one year, certificate programs are designed to give the graduate a solid overall understanding of business administration. More of an introductory certification, this level is an excellent entry point into Business administration.

Associate degree ' Two year program designed to introduce the application of technology in business strategies, students develop competency in management and decision making skills through case studies, group projects, internet usage and computer applications. Critical thinking and management of business function are also stressed in the associate degree.

Bachelor Degree- Four year program concentrating on a deeper understanding of economics, business law, accounting, financing for business, human resources, project and employee management as well as ethics in business. This program readies students for jobs in the field of business administration with a firm understanding of its many components.

Master's degree- Requiring an additional two years after the completion of a BA, this degree includes intense training in both the practical and theory of business management. This level of education represents a competency in all major functional management roles in corporations of all sizes.

PhD- The PhD requires an additional three to four years of study and is primarily for those looking to pursue their career from an academic stand point. The PhD allows an educational career prestige that cannot be topped by any other available degree program.

As you can clearly see, a business administration degree can start you down the path of a challenging and rewarding career. Where you'll end up is entirely up to you!
